This rear disc brake conversion kit provides an easy-to-install, bolt-on solution for upgrading a compatible pre-1980 Ford passenger car 9 in. rear end to rear disc brake performance. It includes caliper brackets, E-brake cables, mounting hardware, rear loaded calipers with parking brake provisions, D154 pads, and brackets and flanges for the three most popular small bearing Ford 9 in. rear end sizes.
The kit is available with standard rotor or slotted and cross-drilled rotor options. Plain rotor kits include rubber brake hoses, while slotted rotor kits include stainless steel braided brake hoses. The vented rotors are drilled for Ford 5 on 4.5 in. using 1/2 in. studs and GM 5 on 4.75 in. using 7/16 in. studs. A disc/disc proportioning valve and 1-1/8 in. large bore master cylinder are recommended when adding disc brakes.
